Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWINNIE PETERSON Peacefully, with family by her side, Winnie passed away on February 16, 2010 at the age of 92. Winnie is missed by her husband Walter; son Ron (Renata); grandchildren, Aaron, Krystie, Daniel, Christian; and sister Stella. She was predeceased by her daughter Anne (Ian), three brothers, two sisters, their spouses, a niece and a nephew. Winnie was a choir member at St. John Cantius where she met Walter and got married. She had fond memories of Camp Morton (near Gimli) with her friends before and after her marriage. She started work at Eaton's and later worked in upholstery retiring at the age of 70 from Art Upholstery. Love of shopping kept her physically fit. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She had many dear friends and activities at her residence, Luther Home. Winnie enjoyed family gatherings and was very close to her older sister Stella. She loved to play piano and sing. Her faith and love of God was very strong. Special thanks to caring staff at Seven Oaks and Grace Hospital and to Msgr. Jaworski and Father Laciak. Prayers will be said on Sunday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave. Flowers or donations to a charity of your choice are welcome.
